In the hands of an experienced professional, the HD Video Vibrometry technology allows rapid, very accurate and non-contact acquisition of vibration data which can then be queried for spectra, waveforms, and orbital plots as is customary required for vibration analysis … BUT … with the ability to amplify and animate the vibration with unparalleled clarity.

A variety of features allow, for example, to apply low-pass, high-pass, band-pass or band-stop filters to assist with problem diagnosis. Furthermore, image stabilization allows the extraction of real vibration relative to a vibrating reference such as camera shake, a structural target, or other similar reference included in the field of view.

One of, if not THE strongest feature, is visualization of the results. Any and all of the features mentioned above may be applied to the output for visualization and communication via still images, spectra, wave-forms or amplifying and controlling the playback speed of operating deflected shapes (ODS). The resolution is so good, that even opening and closing of cracks can be detected and displayed.

The 1st ODS initially shows a normal video of the equipment as would be observed by a human. After about 1 second, the video switches to an amplified and slowed down animation to reveal the actual vibration characteristics.

The 2nd and 3rd videos go directly to the amplified and slowed down animations of the vibration, filtered to only show what is going on at a specific frequency.
